Dr. Courtney Dryer calls Charlotte home; she graduated from Charlotte Christian School.
She went on to earn her Bachelors degree in Business from Liberty University, and her Doctorate from Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee in 2011.
Dr. Dryer began wearing glasses at the age of 7, and contacts at age 8. As a result, she has insight and empathy for the patients she now serves.
She has practiced at several optometric offices in Huntersville and Charlotte before opening her own practice. Autarchic Spec Shop has provided eye care for Charlotte, NC since 2013,
Additionally, she is a member of the North Carolina and Piedmont Optometric Societies, and the American Optometry Association. Her editorial and contributions to optometric magazines and websites include: Review of Optometric Business, <a href="https://newgradoptometry.com/about/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="New Grad Optometry (opens in a new tab)">New Grad Optometry</a>, Vision Monday, and Invision Magazine.
Most exciting, Dr. Dryer was named one of the <a href="https://www.opticalwomen.com/assets/2015-Vision-Monday.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="most influential women in optical (opens in a new tab)">most influential women in optical </a>by Vision Monday magazine for her contributions to the profession in 2015.
Lastly, in her free time, she enjoys DIY projects, Hydroponics, running half marathons, and traveling. Her favorite travel destination is Japan.
