Lasik Evaluation

First, Dr. Dryer will perform a through evaluation of the front of the eye to ensure the cornea is stable and healthy. Corneal thickness measurements called Pachymetry will be taken. Next, the patient will be evaluated for dry eye.

Lastly, a dilation will be performed to evaluate the health of the back of the eye.

Factors to consider

Has your prescription been stable for several years? It's advisable to wait until your RX is not changing. Factors such as education, pregnancy, and computer use can alter your prescription.

Lastly, you must be out of your lenses prior to evaluation. Specifics depend upon the type of lens and modality of lens wear.

Is it time for cataract surgery?

Do you feel like your vision is becoming increasingly blurred?

Is it becoming more difficult to drive at night due to halo or glare?

It's likely the changes may be due to growing cataracts. Furthermore, cataracts make determining colors more difficult, as well as interfering with reading on digital devices.

A cataract evaluation includes a comprehensive eye exam evaluation eye health and the effects of the cataracts on both vision and glare sensitivity.

Lastly, medical insurance plans as well as Medicare require patients meet qualifications to cover the surgery.

Lasik Surgery Post-Op

Dr. Dryer will see her patients 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months after surgery.  Patients should be taking drops as indicated after surgery.

Cataract Surgery Post-Op

Dr. Dryer will see her patients 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months after surgery.  Patients should be taking drops as indicated after surgery.
